June 27, 1943 Cambridge MA Retired Married 2 Hayts (1-3), Maquiling (4,5), West Hill (6) Boynton Boynton US Naval Academy. Submarine School. Married Loulie. Diesel Submarine. Had two kids and studied Applied Math at Brown U. Nuclear training. Four more submarines. Three jobs in Arlington VA, then retired from USN. Relocated to Cambridge. 9 year career as Pension Actuary. Worked on IHS '61 50th reunion! Helping to maintain contact as two Lindas plan the 55th. Details in Current Class Notes:What I've been up to:George Kent
It was great to see so many people at the reunion.  There never is enough time to have all the conversations one would like to have, but as someone said in the past - it is better to wish there had been more time than the other way around!

As the 55th approaches, we are again struggling with classmates "disappearing".  Please let us know when you change email provider, phone number, or mail address.  The list of those for whom we have no valid contact information is growing.

January 27, 1944 Cambridge MA Lifelong volunteer, wife, mother, grandmother Married 2 Cayuga Heights Boynton Boynton Spent the year after high school in Germany. Concentrated in German at Harvard.

Married George 12/65 and became a Navy Wife. Grad work and teacher certification. Couldn't get a job. Decided to start family. Raised 2 nice kids while George was at sea. Did lots of volunteer work and substitute teaching. Taught every level from Montessori pre-school to senior high (almost any subject). Elder in Presbyterian Church. Chairman of the Ombudsman Council for the Sixth Naval District.

Love visiting new places, although I no longer enjoy traveling by plane, especially overseas. Visited diplomat son in Uzbekistan, Thailand, and Ukraine. As of July 2016 they are back in Ukraine again where GP is Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy. Oldest grandchild is starting her sophomore year at BU. Nice to have her in the area.

Worked for two years on our 50th reunion. Great fun getting to know classmates I hadn't known well before. Loved the process of searching for and finding folks who had slipped off the address list. It was wonderful to see such a good turnout for the reunion. I hope more will add their profiles to this online history of our class.

55th reunion was smaller in size, but still lots of fun.  So good to visit with all who came.  The older we get, the more the friendships from the past mean.  Many thanks to those who arranged the reunion and to those who attended.

Married later in 1967 and moved to Michigan then to Massachusetts in 1972. Divorced in 1979 and earned a Certificate in Respiratory Therapy. I still miss Ithaca and all the "Old Familiar Places and Faces. My daughter Katie lives in Wash. DC. Paid singer, works for a Realtor who conducts seminars on Real Estate Restoration/Flipping. He moved to Kirkland, WA and is a client at Dr. Klinghardt's Clinic which is on the cutting edge for the treatments of Lyme and it's Co-infections. The Empty Nest is Yuck & Ugh! Went to college for five years on GI Bill – BA in liberal arts from Oswego State, MS in Education from Cortland State. Married in ’68, had 3 kids, divorced 6 years later. Taught fourth and fifth grades for 4 years, but quit to become self-employed carpenter, which I’ve been doing for the last 35 years. Remarried 9 years ago. Built my house near Trumansburg, and am happily settled down with family and grandchildren nearby. I’ve always been involved with music, even though I quit trumpet after college. I’ve been playing button accordion and writing tunes for many years, and play around Ithaca with Toivo, my six piece, Tex-Mex, Cajun, Finnish band. Check out our website at toivo.honkingduck.com. I’ve got my firewood all cut, so I’m looking forward to a long winter when I can hunker down and dig into my latest musical fascination, blues and boogie piano. Some other members of our class expressed an interest in a jam at our reunion, so if any of you have any thoughts about that, send me an email at rkoski@zoom-dsl.com.

Fishkill NY Retired Married 3 Henry St. John Boynton Boynton Worked several years part time in a dental office and was a full time mom to 3 great kids. Have lived in Wappingers Falls since 1965 with a wonderful husband of 48 years. We are both retired now and travel as much as we can and lovin' it. When we're not traveling I volunteer for Hospice and Meals on Wheels and go to school and sport events that our grandchildren participate in.

Wayne and I lived in the same house for over 44 years and have been married for 50 years.(2013) He is an I.C. graduate and taught school for 29 years. We have 3 grown children- 2 girls and 1 boy and also 7 grandkids.   Five of them are in this area. We get to see our Fl. twin grandaughters a few times a year and we have managed to take a family vacation (all 14 of us) for the last 8 years. For our 45th anniversary in 2008 we all took a cruise to the Carribean for a week . It's the best. For our 50th anniversary June 29th, 2013 our children surprised us with a party with several friends and our whole family. In August, once again we all took another cruise on Royal Carribean's Oasis of the Seas for a week. A grand time was had by all. I still maintain a very close friendship with Peggi (Wilson) Knapp, Bev (McCully) Dunphy, Sally (York)VanOstrand and Larry and they all live in Fl.   P.S. After 44 yrs., 8 mo and 2 weeks  in the same house we  moved----all of 6 miles away to Fishill, NY into a new condominium. We sold our former home in 1 day!!!!! ( Guess we were really lucky after all the horror stories I have heard about people selling their house) We've been here since Sept. 21, 2011 and really love it. It's a good feeling to just lock the door and not worry about anything when we go on vacation.

April 17, 1943 Stuart FL Retired Married 3 Fall Creek Boynton IHS Moved after HS to Nyack, NY and worked as a legal secretary until 1974. Then picked up family and went to Penn State so Paul could do master's degree on his sabbatical. Decided to go to college! Had 30 credits from CLEP exams towards 144 needed for a degree. The kids and I stayed at Penn State two years. PSU had trimesters, so took overloads each term and during summer session, while working 20 hours a week as a paralegal. At the end of two years, I needed 6 credits to graduate...so did them by correspondence after returning to Nyack. Worked out great...helped forge a career instead of a job. Had lots of fun raising three children; having a career after PSU graduation for 22 years as a director of customer service for Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc.(now owned by ConEdison of NY); enjoying seven wonderful grandchildren; retiring at an early age to travel, lie on the beaches of Sag Harbor, read, go fishing with my husband, and just enjoy all that life has to offer. It's been a blast! And newest information...moved from Sag Harbor, NY to Stuart, Florida in June 2014! Love it..pool in the backyard, sun and flowers all year long. What could be bad about that? Looking forward to exploring our new state this year (2015). Tough year so far for us. My husband, Paul, had a traumatic brain injury from a fall on February 3rd. In various hospitals from February 3rd until April 22nd. Then came inpatient rehab. Paul came home on September 7th, 2015 and has been making remarkable progress with in home PT/OT. Has now "graduated" to out patient PT at the rehab facility he was in previously. Mentally, he has come back 100%. Still working on the physical part, but we have high hopes for a almost 100% recovery, which no one even dreamed of on February 3rd. Prayers and support of friends, family, FB friends from IHS, have helped us through! We are truly blessed.

I am so excited about our 50th reunion. It will be fun to see everyone again!
